In Connaught

Above: View in Connaught

The west coast of Connaught is very mountainous. Mount Nephin and other lofty peaks are within sight of the Atlantic. Croagh Patrick rises from the seashore. It is so perfectly shaped that it appears the same from whatever side it is seen. It is said that this is the place from which St. Patrick drove all the reptiles of Ireland into the sea. In the west of Galway there is a wild and rugged region called Connemara.
